My name is Dan Klassen and I am the youth and children's pastor at First Alliance Church, Lakeland, FL. I hope this site gives you some helpful information about our church's ministry to newborns through young adults. Besides helpful info, you'll find here permission slips, videos, schedules -- whatever we can do to make these ministries more accessible to you. At First Alliance, WE LOVE THE GROWING UP YEARS! Whether you are a toddler, or in your twenties, we have a special place for you!!

About me
I am originally from Canada (I have lived all over the place in Canada!) I attended Canadian Bible College and received a Bachelor of Religious Education with an emphasis in Missions. I met my wife, Becky, in Mexico City where we were both serving as missionaries. After we got married in 1999, we moved to Lakeland, FL and I started as the youth and children's pastor at First Alliance Church. In 2003, our beautiful daughter, Emily was born. Shortly after she arrived, we were sent out as missionaries to Paraguay, South America. We studied Spanish in Costa Rica for four months and then spent the next year and a half in Paraguay. We returned to the States in 2005 and in 2006 I became the youth and children's pastor at First Alliance once again!
I love to run, sing and be a clown. I love hanging around kids and teaching them about God.
My wife is a French/ Spanish teacher at Strawberry Crest High School and our daughter, Emily is loving kindergarten.
